Ravi and I are playing, or are attempting to play, a didgeridoo. Which is a wind instrument of the indigenous Australians of Northern Australia. Made from eucalyptus trees that have been hollowed out by termites, these interesting instruments can be between 3' and 10' long. They are played by vibrating your lips and blowing into a beeswax mouthpiece. I'm guessing it's similar to playing a trumpet? They come in different keys and the "notes" can be manipulated only somewhat by your own voice. It's hard to do. The sound they produce can best be described as a drone. Loud with a vibrating, droning sound. They're really interesting to listen to!
