Wilson's Bay & The Gap

On Monday, G, B, Y and I took to the water. We boarded a ferry boat and sailed Sydney Harbour to Watson's Bay, home of Doyle's Restaurant, famous for it's fish & chips. For all you fish lovers out there, I rank it third, behind the Oxy Road shop in Hartlepool, England, and A Salt & Battery in NYC (Mom, ASB even has chip buttys, mushy peas, and Heinz baked beans - you'd love it!).
Opposite the Bay, on the Ocean side, is The Gap, a spectacular cliff that has often been mistaken for the headlands entrance into Sydney Harbor. It was here that the ship Dunbar wrecked in 1857. All but one of it's 122 passengers and crew were lost.
Spectacular views were to be had! In one direction, looking across Sydney Harbour towards the city, and in the other direction, out across the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful!
