Lucky #8

My first tag! From Kendra!

Here is a little more info about me in the form of 8s...

8 tv shows I love to watch.
Hmmm. It's been a while - I haven't seen any TV really since coming to Australia, but at home I'm kind of a TV junkie so let me put on my thinking cap...
Heroes
Pushing Daisies
Kyle XY
Gilmore Girls (I know, I know, it's been off the air for a while. I still love the reruns!)
American Idol
Chuck
The Big Bang Theory
Burn Notice
Eli Stone (Gray's, Ugly Betty, etc...)
Ok, that's actually 9+. And I haven't seen any of the new shows this season. Anyone have recommendations for new shows I should check out once I'm home? Which BTW will be in a week-and-a half!!!

8 favorite restaurants.
Hard to narrow down to 8!
Lupa - NYC
Foster's Fish Grill - Oxford Rd, Hartlepool, England
Billy's Bakery - NYC. Ok, it's not really a restaurant, but it serves food. Cupcakes are food. :)
Tres Hombres - SLC. It's been a while, but this used to be a fav. I'm looking forward to some good Mexican food!
8 things that happened yesterday.
Woke up sharing a room with 2 Brits & an Israeli (I'm staying in hostels. After all, I AM unemployed!)
Took an early morning walk in Queenstown, N.Z.
Rode a bus to Milford Sound.
Had a BBQ in Fjordland Nat'l Park, N.Z.
Took a boat cruise on Milford Sound.
Got completely drenched in the rain at Milford Sound.
Had a conversation about the U.S. Presidential Election and the upcoming N.Z. election w/ my Kiwi and Japanese tour guides.
Did some reading before bed.

NOTE: I will eventually blog about the rest of my time in Melbourne and my time in New Zealand, including more about this day. It may not be till I get home, but it will get done. Hard to get done while on the road.

8 things I love about this fall.

That for me, it's actually been Spring!

Seeing this corner of the world.
Normally, I love watching the leaves change colors on the trees.
And walking/crunching through the leaves.
In NYC fall is a beautiful time of year with September being the best weather all year!
A fav is walking or driving through Central Park!
In Utah, I love visiting the mountains at this time of year!
Sweaters and fall colors.
8 Things on my wish list.
Once I'm home, to find a job that I really like.
With great co-workers.
That pays well.
To visit NYC!
I wish all my Israel/Egypt trip photos, from earlier this year, were already labeled. I just never had time to get this done.
I wish I was going home to my own apartment/house/place (But THANKS Mom for letting me stay with you!)
To be debt free (I'm with you on this one, Kendra!)
For 8 more wishes. :)
8 Things I am looking forward to.

Reconnecting family in Utah.

Reconnecting with friends in Utah.

Red Lobster with Jeanette and her girls. :)

Good Mexican food in UT.

Shaving my legs. I know, eww. But there's just no point when you're on the road like I've been.

Blowing out my hair. Again, why lug around a hairdryer.

Thanksgiving - my favorite holiday!

Getting caught up on Conference! Because of the time difference, it's shown a week later in Oz. And that was the week I had the kids while C & G went to the Blue Mountains. We just stayed home: no car, and trying to keep a 2, 4, and 6 year old sitting quietly, watching Conference, at the church, for 8 hours, all by myself. Right.

8 people I tag.
Jennifer, Andrea P., Lora, Sunny, Jori, Amanda, Rebecca, Jenny

Love that you woke up in a hostel.... With an Israeli, no less. Did he propose? Oh wait. That would be an Egyptian.

I promise you the BEST Mexican food ever when you come to AZ!

Just saying HI. We miss you already! (Madi asked where you were at the ward Halloween party... She thought for sure you would've been dressed up as something good!)

Can't wait to read all about NZ/Alice Springs. Oh, and have some Mexican food for me. Mmmm.
